The Body Blueprint Fitness Theory Course teaches you how your body functions and responds to exercise and increase your awareness of fitness and health. The Fitness Theory Course is the prerequisite for becoming a Personal Trainer, instructor in the Weight Room, Group Fitness, Aqua Fitness, Yoga, Seniors, or adapted fitness (special needs populations), and will prepare you for the provincial exam. This enjoyable and popular course fills up quickly. Even if you do not plan to become a certified fitness instructor, everyone can benefit from our Fitness Theory course to improve their well-being!

The course cost includes everything you need including the Body Blueprint Fitness Theory full-colour manual. After the course you will be given a practice exam that fully prepares you for the Fitness Theory registration exam with BC Recreation and Parks Association (BCRPA), Manitoba Fitness Council (MFC), Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association (SPRA) or Body Blueprint Fitness Education (BBFE). Once you complete and pass the practice exam, you will receive a Fitness Theory Certificate from Body Blueprint Fitness Education.

Course Withdrawal or Transfer Information

REFUND POLICY

In Class Course Withdrawal

For course withdrawal submitted in writing 30 days or more before the start of the course, registrants will receive a full tuition refund less a $40 non-refundable registration fee.

For course withdrawals submitted in writing more than 14 days but less than 30 days before the start of the course, registrants will receive a tuition refund minus 30% of the total course cost.

For course withdrawals submitted in writing less than 14 days but more than 72 hours before the start of the course, registrants will receive a tuition refund of 50% of the total cost of the course. 

Without exception, no refunds will be given for course withdrawals less than 72 hours before the start of the course. However, registrant will be given the option to receive online course material and complete the course digitally, or to switch to the next in-class course (providing there is room) of the same type, as per the policy below.

Switching to the Next Course

If you are enrolled in an in-class course and would like to switch to the next course, you may do so at any time up until 2-weeks prior to the course start-date. 

If you switch to the next course less than 3 weeks prior to the course start-date but more than 2 weeks, there is a $50 transfer fee.

To switch to the next course less than 2 weeks prior to the course start-date, but more than 48 hours, there is a $100 transfer fee. 

 

To switch to the next course less than 48 hours prior to the course start-date, there is a fee of 50% of the cost of the course. 

If switching, there will be no refunds for the course switched to.

Receiving Refund

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Course Deadlines

In Class course Final Assignment

After each in-class course, you are given two (2) months from the last date of the course to complete a final assignment which will be emailed to you after the course. Your prerequisites for the course, if not completed prior to the course start-date, must also be complete by this time. This date may be extended for a fee. 

Repeating an in-class Course

If you had previously registered for an in-class course within the past four (4) years and would like to register for the same course (in-class or online) again, you may register stand-by (a week or less before the course) for a cost of 50% of the current total cost of the course, provided there is room in the course. 

If you registered for an in-class course more than four (4) years ago and wish to re-register, you must do so at full cost.
