Why should I choose Body Blueprint Fitness?
Body Blueprint has been training fitness professionals since 1986. In fact, many of the trainers who teach BCRPA courses were originally trained by Body Blueprint – including some online course conductors. We give you the personal touch – we get to know you and help you every step of the way to ensure you are really learning the information provided. You are more than just a number and we truly care about your learning process. We fully prepare you for the provincial exams and if you need extra help, we are here to answer any questions you have. If you are taking an online course, you can transfer to the in-class sessions as we teach many courses throughout the year. You could also transfer from in class to online. How long will the Fitness Theory online course take?
This course is go-at-your-own-pace. Some people have finished in one weekend if they have a deadline to meet. You have up to 4 months to complete the course. Since the entire course can be done online, your assignments are returned to you quickly. We mark your assignments within 48 hours if you send them during business hours. Since your assignments are marked by real people, we give each student’s assignment the attention it deserves. If you haven’t heard back from us in 2 days, please contact us right away. Sometimes emails get lost in cyber space. We ALWAYS respond to all emails.How many assignments are there in Fitness Theory?
There are nine assignments and a final quiz to complete the course. These assignments are to ensure you are learning the information. As long as you are giving it your best shot you will succeed! If you need a little extra help or aren’t understanding something, we are a phone call or email away. We also offer private tutoring sessions.
How long will it take me to become a fitness instructor?
To become a fitness instructor you’ll need to take the Fitness Theory course, write the provincial exam and take the group fitness course. We’ve had students do this in as little as a month. But we give you more time than that if you need it. Each course has a four month time frame. Although many students do it much quicker than that. You’ll go at your own pace to suit your busy schedule.Will I get my course assignments back?
Yes, all your assignments are returned to you after being marked. Each written assignment is hand marked to make sure you are really understanding the material taught. If you send it in by email, it is returned usually within a couple days!Is there an exam at the end?
At the end of the Body Blueprint Fitness Theory course there is an open-book final quiz to receive your certificate. This course thoroughly prepares you for the provincial exams and beyond. You can then go on to write the BCRPA Fitness Theory exam.Will this course give me all the information I need to pass the provincial exam?
Yes. Body Blueprint’s Fitness Theory and Personal Training courses exceed the information required for the provincial exams. The course materials include online tutorials, videos and personalized feedback on your assignments so that you will be fully prepared for the Fitness Theory and Personal Training exams. We are also happy to help by email or over the phone, and we offer private tutoring if you need extra help.I have no desire to instruct fitness. Will the Fitness Theory course benefit me?
Absolutely! Thousands of people have taken this course, some to become fitness instructors and others for their own knowledge and interest. You will learn how and why your body responds to exercise the way it does and how to safely and effectively set up fitness programs for yourself. You may decide that you want to become a trainer in any of the following fields: Group Fitness, Aqua Fitness, Weight Training, Personal Training, Yoga, Pilates or Older Adult Fitness. Once you have taken the Fitness Theory course you can take the specialty module of your choosing. You can take one or all of them! Note that in order to take the Personal Training module, you first need to take the Weight Training module.The Body Blueprint Fitness Theory course is the first step to all of the other fitness courses. If you want to become a Personal Trainer, weight room attendant, group fitness instructor or aqua fitness instructor, we teach you how.
