We have students throughout Canada, the United States, as well as Europe, India, South America, Mexico, and other areas of the world. The online option is also suitable for people local to Vancouver Island who prefer to work on their own time. If you would prefer to take the course in-class, please visit here instead.

What is Involved?:

In order to take the Fitness Theory course online, all you need is a computer (or another device, as long as you're able to type on it), occasional internet access, and time. When you order the Fitness Theory online course, you will have 4 months to complete it (though it's designed to only take up to 32 hours of your time). You will be provided with a digital version of the Fitness Theory manual (and you have the option of purchasing the hard-copy manual as well), videos and tutorials, all of your assignments, and you may contact us any time for assistance throughout your course. There are 8 chapter assignments, plus a final assignment within this course. When you complete one assignment, you will submit it to us for marking and we will provide you with thorough feedback to help make sure you understand the material completely. Your final assignment will prepare you for the provincial exam.

Your Fitness Theory education will be the backbone for your career in fitness, whether you decide to become a Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, Aqua Fitness Instructor, Older Adult Instructor, or explore other Fitness options (or even for your own health and education).
