Body Blueprint started out as a one-woman show in 1986 and is now a locally operated and family run business based out of Victoria, B.C. Our courses and workshops are approved across Canada through provincial organizations, including most Massage Therapy Associations. Our students come from all over the world, and our books and courses have been used by the RCMP for training, as well as several universities and colleges. We offer Fitness Theory, Weight Training, Personal Training, Aqua Fitness, Group Fitness and continuing education workshops both online and in-class.
Christina is the founder and CEO of Body Blueprint Fitness Education. She started teaching fitness classes in 1982 and worked as the program director/manager at a fitness club in Victoria for 22 years. Her passion for fitness and her energetic nature led her to excel in the field; she went on to be awarded the Woman of Distinction for Health and Fitness and received a Health and Fitness Award. She was the keynote speaker for the Osteoporosis Association of Canada and was a Guest Trainer of Fitness Leaders in many countries in the Caribbean.
In 1986 Christina founded Body Blueprint Fitness Education. Since that time, she has taught thousands of students across five continents, and trained fitness professionals to become Personal Trainers, Group Fitness Instructors, Older Adults Instructor, Aqua Fitness Instructors and weight room attendants. She is the author of over 60 workshops and 5 course manuals used for continuing education, certification and to teach fitness courses. Christina's course materials have been used by colleges and universities in Canada and by the RCMP. Her commitment to the fitness industry, her knowledge and her dynamic and entertaining style make her seminars and courses enjoyable and informative.
Christina is still teaching the courses to spread her knowledge to aspiring fitness leaders across the country. She enjoys spending time with her husband, daughters, grandchildren and three dogs, while of course making time to garden in her beautiful backyard.
Lauren is a Trainer of Fitness Leaders and the Director of Body Blueprint. She’s been involved with the administration side of Body Blueprint for many years and is passionate about connecting with potential and current students to help them reach their goals in fitness leadership. Lauren is a certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor and became a Trainer of Fitness Leaders in 2021.
Lauren’s educational background is in sciences (UVic and UBC), and Herbal Medicine (Pacific Rim College) and Health Coaching (Institute for Integrative Nutrition), and she combines her modalities practicing as a Medical Herbalist and Personal Trainer, as well as a part-time Preschool Teacher.
Lauren spends most of her free time outdoors with her 2 children, husband, and rescue-beagle.
Ally is the helpful being who answers all your questions, gives thorough feedback on fitness theory assignments and keeps us organized. She has a keen understanding of fitness theory and exercise physiology, however she is pursuing a degree in wildlife biology and answers emails from Prince George, BC, where she attends University. She spends her spare time hiking, ski touring and snowboarding in the mountains with her dog, Arlo. Ally is an adventurer and traveler and has a passion for animals, nature and health.
