Refund Policy

Refund and Withdrawal Policy and Course Expiration Guidelines

This Policy covers the refund policy for online course, the withdrawal policy for in-class course, course deadline guidelines, course extension options, and options for transferring from an online course to in-class or repeating a course.

REFUND POLICY

Online Material

Once a purchase has been made and the order has been fulfilled (i.e. the digital material has been sent to you via the website or email), you are not eligible for a refund. A refund cannot be provided for digital or downloadable material as there is no way to return it. However, you do have the option to transfer into an in-class course should an in-class course be available (see below “Transferring from Online to In Class”). There are no refunds for the Personal Training Online Package, even if you have not started the subsequent courses.

In Class Course Registration

In Class Course Withdrawal

For course withdrawal submitted in writing 30 days or more before the start of the course, registrants will receive a full tuition refund less a $40 non-refundable registration fee.

For course withdrawals submitted in writing more than 10 days but less than 30 days before the start of the course, registrants will receive a tuition refund minus 30% of the total course cost.

For course withdrawals submitted in writing less than 10 days but more than 48 hours before the start of the course, registrants will receive a tuition refund of 50% of the total cost of the course. 

Without exception, no refunds will be given for course withdrawals less than 48 hours before the start of the course.

Receiving Refund

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Course Deadlines*

Online Courses

You have four (4) months from the date of purchase to complete your online course (CEC workshop, Fitness Theory online, Group Fitness online, Aqua Fitness online, Weight Training online, Personal Training online); or one (1) year from the date of purchase to complete the Personal Training Online Package (which includes Fitness Theory, Weight Training, and Personal Training).

Within the Personal Training Online Package, which you have one-year total to complete, you have four (4) months to complete each of the courses within. If you wish to complete courses for certification purposes, the courses must be completed in order and one course must be complete before you begin the next (First Fitness Theory, Then Weight Training, and lastly Personal Training). The prerequisites for a course must also be complete prior to the expiry date of the course. Please see Course Extension Options to allot more time for your course.

In Class course Final Assignment

After each in-class course, you are given two (2) months from the last date of the course to complete a final assignment which will be emailed to you after the course. Your prerequisites for the course, if not completed prior to the course start-date, must also be complete by this time. This date may be extended (Please see Course Extension Options).

*Note that you are responsible for your accrediting body (i.e. BCRPA) deadlines, which are separate from Body Blueprint’s deadlines.

 

Course Extension Options

If you would like to extend the amount of time allotted for your course, you may do so within the following guidelines.

Online Certification Courses (Fitness Theory, Group Fitness, Aqua Fitness, Weight Training, Personal Training, Older Adult) *, **

Your course has not yet expired:

  • Option 1: You may extend your course deadline for one (1) month by paying a fee of $30 prior to your course deadline; or
  • Option 2: You may extend your course deadline for four (4) months by paying a fee of $50 prior to your course deadline

Your course has expired less than three (3) months prior.

  • Option 1: You may extend your course deadline for one (1) month by paying a fee of $60 prior to the date landing three (3) months past your course expiry; or
  • Option 2: You may extend your course deadline for four (4) months by paying a fee of $85 prior to the date landing three (3) months past your course expiry

Your course has expired between three (3) and six (6) months prior.

  • Option 1: You may extend your course deadline for one (1) month by paying a fee of $75 prior to the date landing six (6) months past your course expiry; or
  • Option 2: You may extend your course deadline for four (4) months by paying a fee of $110 prior to the date landing six (6) months past your course expiry

Your course has expired more than six (6) months but less than one (1) year prior.

  • You may extend your course deadline for four (4) months by paying a fee of $150 prior to the date landing one (1) year past your course expiry.
  • You may be asked to repeat the course assignments you’ve already completed as course material can change (in which case we will send you updated material via email).

Your course has expired over one (1) year but less that two (2) years prior:

  • You may extend your course deadline for four (4) months by paying a fee of $190 prior to the date landing two (2) years past your course expiry.
  • You may be asked to repeat the course assignments you’ve already completed as course material can change (in which case we will send you updated material via email).

Your course has expired over two (2) years prior:

  • You will be required to re-register for the course at full price.

*You will not receive a new hard copy manual (unless purchased separately).

Continuing Education Credit (CEC) Workshops

Your course has expired within one (1) year:

  • You may re-register for a fee of 50% of the current cost of the digital workshop (you will not receive a new printed copy of the workshop manual unless purchased separately). You will be given four (4) months from your payment date to complete the workshop.

In Class Course Final Assignment

You may extend your deadline** for the in-class course required final assignment by paying a fee of $50 to have four (4) extra months.

**Note that you are responsible for your accrediting body (i.e. BCRPA) deadlines and extending a course date with Body Blueprint does not extend your registration deadlines with said accrediting body.

 

Transferring from Online to In-Class

If you are registered in an online course and decide you’d prefer to transfer into the same in-class version of the course, you may do so* should an in-class course be available, and by following these guidelines:

  • If your online course has not yet expired and you’d like to transfer into an in-class course, you must pay a fee of $50** and confirm your spot in said in-class course. (**if you originally purchased the PT package, the transfer fee is $75 for the Weight and Personal Training courses).
  • If your online course has expired within the last six (6) months, and you’d like to transfer into an in-class course, you must pay a fee of $100 and confirm your spot in said in-class course.

 

  • If your online course expired more than six (6) months ago but less than one (1) year ago, and you’d like to transfer into an in-class course, you must pay a fee of 50% (with the exception of the Personal Training Course***) of the current cost of the in-class course and confirm your spot in said course.
  • ***If your online Personal Training course expired more than six (6) months ago but less than one (1) year ago, and you’d like to transfer into an in-class course, you must pay a fee of $200 and confirm your spot in said course.

 

  • If your online course expired more than one (1) year ago, you must pay full price to register for an in-class course.

*If your online course included a hard-copy manual, you must bring that with you to the in-class course and you will not be provided a new one.

Repeating an in-class Course

If you had previously registered for an in-class course within the past four (4) years and would like to register for the same course (in-class or online) again, you may register for a cost of 50% of the current total cost of the course.

If you registered for an in-class course more than four (4) years ago and wish to re-register, you must do so at full cost.
