Weight Training Online
Our online Weight Training course allows you to gain your Weight Training certification from anywhere around the world. We have students throughout Canada, the United States, as well as Europe, India, South America, Mexico, and other areas of the world. The Online option is also suitable for people local to Vancouver Island who prefer to work on their own time. This enjoyable and thorough course covers every aspect of weight room instructing including how to design safe and effective programs, different types of programs to match different goals, and how to use machines in the gym as well as body-weighted exercises. The Body Blueprint Weight Training Course will enable you to work in a weight room and write weight programs for your clients. This BCRPA-approved Weight course is comprehensive, educational and fun to do. And we are here to help you every step of the way. The online course includes the following topics: review of Anatomy, Muscles and Function, Introduction to Strength Training, Program Planning, Nutrition, Warm Up and Cardio, Weight Room Exercises, Flexibility, and Exercise Risks, and more.
You will receive: digital Weight Training manual (and the hard copy if you choose that version), videos and tutorials to watch on your own time, 9 written assignments to complete, plus a final assignment, 5 video assignments to complete. We will mark your assignments thoroughly and give you the feedback you need to feel confident as a Weight Trainer and move on to your Personal Training course.
Once you have completed the course and have your Weight Training certificate from Body Blueprint, if you wish to gain BCRPA certification, you are required to then complete your Instructor Competency Evaluation (ICE). We can walk you through this and evaluate it for you over video or in person. BCRPA will take about 4 to 6 weeks to approve your ICE, in which time you can practice writing Weight Training programs for friends/family/clients. Then you can move onto the Personal Training Course.
You are given 4 months to complete the Weight Training course online from your time of purchase, but it's designed to take about 20 hours total.
