Aqua Fitness In Class

This course will teach you all the aspects to become a safe and well-rounded Aqua Fitness instructor. You will learn: how to develop a good client base, the properties of water, cueing, use of music, lesson planning for deep and shallow water, warm-up and cardio ideas, strength training and stretching in the water.
Classes will be kept small due to COVID19 protocols. Safety measures will be in place (sanitizer, social distancing) and we request you do not come if you are/were recently ill, showing any symptoms, or around anyone who has been ill or travelled. Masks are mandatory at this time (until further notice). If a class shows as "sold out" please email us (firstname.lastname@example.org) to confirm as we are limiting the number of people who can register online to avoid over-filling to accommodate any future health restrictions.
Please note that if you wish to be BCRPA-certified as an Aquatic Fitness Instructor, you must first register with BCRPA as a Fitness Leader (complete the Fitness Theory course, BCRPA exam, First Aid and CPR, and BCRPA registration). Following the Aqua Fitness Instructor course, you will need to complete your 8-hour practicum and your practical exam (ICE), which can be done over video or in person.
Please note: This course can only be used for certification with BCRPA, providing prerequisites are achieved.
