Location: Gordon Head Recreation Centre, Victoria, BC
This course will teach you all the aspects to become a safe and well-rounded Aqua Fitness instructor. You will learn: how to develop a good client base, the properties of water, cueing, use of music, lesson planning for deep and shallow water, warm-up and cardio ideas, strength training and stretching in the water.
*COVID safety protocols recommend at the time of the course will be in place. At this time, you will need to show proof of first vaccination in order to enter the location, and masks must be worn in mail areas (not in water). This class will be kept very small.
Must have completed Fitness Theory course or equivalent.
If taking this course for certification and registration, Fitness Theory exam with designated registering body, as well as current First Aid and CPR, must be complete prior to receiving Aqua Fitness Certificate.
Following the Aqua Fitness Instructor course, you will need to complete your 8-hour practicum and your practical exam, which can be done over video or in person.
