Provincial Registration Process
To become a provincially registered fitness trainer in any field you will need to have the following:
1) Fitness Theory Course
Complete the Body blueprint Fitness Theory Course. This is the first step in becoming a fitness trainer in any field you choose (strength, group fitness, aqua-fit, seniors, etc.)
Body Blueprint Fitness offers both in-class or correspondence.
2) Provincial Exam
Once you complete the fitness theory course you will need to take the provincial exam. This is offered to you at the end of the in-class theory course or your tutor will help you find a proctor in your area. There is a membership fee ($65 at the time of posting this web site) this is a yearly fee. The Body Blueprint course totally prepares you for the exam. The membership fee includes $2 million liability insurance (which is excellent as insurance without being a registered trainer can run you over $1,000 per year).
3) Specialty Modules
Once you have completed the Fitness Theory course you will want to specialize in one or more of the following:
